Originally scheduled for March 9 2020 but had to postpone due to the coronavirus pandemic, Disney has now confirmed a new release date that won’t be changed.
Mulan is one of the biggest movie that the world can’t wait to see and after postponing the release for three time, Disney finally settled on an unorthodox plan for the movie.
Mulan will be coming to Disney Plus on September 4, however, subscriber will need more than just the regular Disney Plus plan to watch the movie. Subscriber will have to rent the movie after release for $30.
The movie will also debut in theaters the same day in countries that don’t (and won’t) have Disney Plus for now and where cinemas are actually open.
For does who haven’t seen the original version of Mulan, it follows a young woman in China who poses as a man in order to take her father’s place in the war against the Huns. It’s based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan.
The movie which stars Yifei Liu (as Mulan) will follow the same storyline as the animated version, however, it is now rated PG-13 due to series of violence and is fashioned as a more realistic telling.
